My Top 20 Picks- FHM Search for the Girl Next Door

The phrase girl next door is an expression that I associate with Sports Illustrated, because it’s a saying that long time Swimsuit Edition editor Jule Campbell used to explain the type of models they use in the famous annual Swimsuit issue. So images of wholesome auras, fantastic smiles, aside from gorgeous bodies, as exemplified by Christie Brinkley and Kathy Ireland, flit through my head when girl next door is mentioned.

However, FHM 2004 winner, Sofie, is more sultry than wholesome, so my Top 20 picks take into consideration the whole spectrum. Aside from their auras or “dating,” I also examined the candidates’ confidence while posing, and of course, their physicality.

The Top 20 list is in ascending order as they were presented in the FHM booklet, which came with the September 2005 issue, and featured the 50 finalists of the Search for the Girl Next Door contest. Mid-month, I’ll whittle the list down to the Top 10. Remember, you only have till 31 October 2005 to vote for your own favorites.

I think the cheapest way to vote for your own picks is through the FHM website, where you can vote daily. Your next best option is voting through text by sending the SMS FHMGND candidate number to 2929. You can also download your fave’s MMS photos by texting FHMGND PIC candidate number to 2929, which also counts as 5 votes.
