Romantic Countdown with Globe 10c/sec Rate Promo

With Globe’s Php 0.10/second rate for its Globe to Globe and TM to TM calls, it’s the perfect cheap way to let your partner know how you feel, especially since it will run till 14 February 2006.

Pick a time frame. Under the assumption that you know your honey’s daily schedule, pick a time when you can call, preferably on a regular time slot, like break time, for example. But, if that’s not possible, just make sure you’re not calling when your sweetie is in the middle of something.

And then, choose a countdown number of days. Maybe you can base it on a number that has a special meaning for both of you, but I think there should be a minimum of at least 5 days.

Keep it short. The objective of the whole exercise is to delight your darling, not to start a conversation, so, approximately 3 seconds per call would suffice. All right, a maximum of 5 seconds. For remember, you want to keep your costs down as well.

To make the call, just add 232 to the 10-digit Globe number.

Try to make your message surprising. Of course, any call from you would be special, and expressions such as “I love you” or “Take care” would be quite touching.

But how about going the extra mile? Tell your babe “I miss your smile” or “You’re so sexy.” You can even think of a theme like what are the things that I love about you, enumerating simple but appreciated details like cooking for you or waiting for you everyday to get off from work.

Be consistent. You want your sweetie to be a bit surprised at first with your brief calls and then graduate to actually looking forward to them, but that can only happen if you’re consistent. So, make sure you do it regularly (daily is highly recommended) till 14 February 2006.

Don’t explain. Keep the mystery. If your partner asks you why you’re doing it or variations thereof, reply with a vague answer, or give an enigmatic smile or a nonchalant shrug.

Do something special on Valentine’s Day. These calls are meant to build anticipation, therefore, it’s almost anti-climactic if it doesn’t lead to anything. It can be the customary date, but, if you can add something to spice it up, so much the better.
