Martin Nievera Comments At first, I had no intention of covering Pops Fernandez’s spread because I was pretty sure that it would be dealt with extensively by the press, but I would just like to add my two cents worth to the boiling controversy of Martin Nievera’s comments on her FHM Philippines cover, stating that “FHM is not dealing with art… there’s nothing really tastefully done there.”
Pops Fernandez’s Response Pops Fernandez was interviewed by Nini Valera for the Philippine Daily Inquirer and she said, “What he told me then was, ‘I trust you naman, and I know that you know what you’re doing. Why did he tell a different story in ‘The Buzz’ all of a sudden and, again, during a press con for his new album?”
Personal Ethics “In a situation like this, and as my ex-husband, he should have kept his feelings to himself. If you’re a real gentleman, if you really care for your ex-partner, you won’t say anything that would hurt her.”
Is it too much to ask for an ex to do this? In my opinion, no. A sense of decorum and propriety dictates that one be courteous, and even more care be taken with regards to personal relationships.
If this was a professional situation where a former employee has chosen to say negative things about the company and the people he used to work with, I would say he was unprofessional.
