Chuckles — Motel Threesome

Doing an event can take its toll on everybody involved, especially the production staff , with a call time at midnight to bring in the set into the venue, supervise its construction and making sure all the show’s requirements are done, from the lights to the preparation of the dressing rooms. They barely have a few hours, if ever, in between the backstage organization and the show’s opening to catch up on some sleep.

In one show, fortunately, there was an opportunity to do so. Consequently, a trio from the production staff had the great idea of catching some shut eye in relative comfort by going to the nearest motel, which featured quickie rates, and check in for a couple of hours.

As they were checking in, they were informed by the motel clerk that the three of them can’t stay in the same room.

When they demanded why, instead of saying the standard line of being the motel’s policy, the flustered motel clerk blurted out, “Dahil makasalanan po ‘yon (Because it would be sinful).”

Since they couldn’t make him change his mind, the disgruntled trio broke up into two rooms, with the female ending up in a room by herself and the two males in one room.

Well, the motel clerk didn’t seem troubled by the possibility of guy on guy action, but he did seem troubled by the possibility of a ménage a trois. (And yes, I do know the illustration is not exactly accurate but I wanted to share the amusing sight of a racy shirt while strolling through the aisles of Shopwise.)
