Frenzy Condoms Subsidized by Porn

Frenzy Condoms, Premiere Condoms and Trust Condoms are all subsidized by DKT International, and this organization is headed by Phil Harvey, a man dedicated in providing options for population planning and sexual health.

Fighting the Reagan and Bush administration (note that they’re both Republicans) attempts to close down the financial arm of DKT International, Adam and Eve, Phil Harvey has emerged triumphant and continues his mission with fervor.

Adam and Eve is one of the major players in the adult products industry, selling items such as porn DVDs and videos, vibrators, cock rings, lingerie, and, of course, condoms.

The profits from Adam and Eve enables DKT International’s financial independence, which, in turn, facilitates their entry into a market, currently 11 countries, to jumpstart a program that they will ultimately present to other organizations with the same objectives but with bigger funding.

Jay Cheshes, writer for Mother Jones, has quoted Phil Harvey on the subject, “We’ve been able to start some small programs, and then go to the major donors and say, ‘Look, we’ve got something started here; it’s not very big, but it’s working.’ That gives a lot of credibility when you’re trying to raise funds from governments and big foundations.”

This strategy has worked tremendously well, and DKT Philippines, aside from being subsidized by DKT International, is supported by the German KfW and the Packard Foundation.

DKT Philippines proudly reports that “during 2005, the program sold 28.4 million condoms, 283,473 injectables, 94,182 lubes and 12.1 million OCs, delivering 1,216,386 CYPs.”

So wonder no more why Frenzy Condoms, Premiere Condoms and Trust Condoms are 50% or more cheaper than other brands. It doesn’t mean that they’re substandard because the manufacturers are cutting down on costs. They’re subsidized.
