Vegetable Poster Vegetable Poster – A perusal of goods in one stall inside Mall 168 on 16 April 2007 brought to light this Vegetable Poster. I can almost hear the Sesame Street song, “One of these things is not like the other…”

Rape Vegetable Rape Vegetable – Inexplicably, according to this vegetable poster, there is a variety of leafy vegetable that is called rape. I tried. I really tried, but I cannot recall a vegetable that’s called rape. I sincerely hope that buyers spot this before deciding to make a purchase.

The Komatsuna or Japanese mustard spinach is also called Rape Vegetable

or it could also be this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rapeseed

Rape is also a type of plant, Brassica napus, from the mustard family.

Wow! Thanks for the info! I guess the pronounciation would be different then too.

  3. Mimi Says:

I still find it strange that they would name a vegetable rape, when that same word refers to an act violating somebody.

  4. Mila Says:

In China, there are fields growing with rape, a mustard variety, and the flowers are bright yellow. They are also turned into a form of vegetable oil (rape oil, yes they are labelled that way).

The vegetable tastes like a cross between chinese broccoli and petchay.
