Plot Summary of 17 May 2007 Episode Aired on ABS-CBN Manila Philippines

Celine Avoids JB Anne “Celine” Curtis answers the questions of Sam “JB” Milby in a cagey manner and maneuvers to get out of the awkward situation by saying she needs to go.

As they arrive back on the island, Bea “Jackie” Alonzo animatedly chatters to Celine about JB, and even tries to convince Celine to “gimik” by going to the bar where JB works as a singer. Celine avoids answering by muttering that she wants to take a bath and escapes into the room.

The Handshake and The Embrace John Lloyd “Eli” Cruz and Keanna “Ate Guada” Reeves accompany Jackie to the bar. JB is obviously disappointed by Celine’s absence but still expresses his delight that they could come.

JB takes the first step of breaching the chasm between the two cousins by holding out his hand in greeting to Eli.

Eli stares at JB’s hand before finally grasping it to pull his cousin into an embrace.

JB raises a toast to Jackie and Eli’s impending marriage and even teases them that he will invite himself to the wedding. Eli generously allows, “Syempre kasama ka don, pinsan kita e (of course you’re invited, you’re my cousin).”

Before they part ways, Eli pulls JB again into an embrace and advises his cousin that if Celine won’t go to the bar, then he’s welcome to visit the island.

JB Courts Celine Celine is left alone on the island as the trio of Jackie, Ate Guada and Eli troop back to Manila for a few days.

Celine is thrown off as JB arrives on the island on a boat bearing flowers for her. Once again, she avoids JB by hurrying off to do her errands at the kapitolyo.

JB is left on the shore looking wistfully after her as she boards the banca and speeds off.
