Plot Summary of 24 May 2007 Episode Aired on ABS-CBN Manila Philippines

At Death’s Door Reminiscent of Patrick Swayze’s character in Ghost, the soul of John Lloyd “Eli” Cruz watches in horror as he observes his loved ones crying over his prostrate body on the hospital bed.

His attempts of physical and verbal contact are all for naught as his embracing arms go through Bea “Jackie” Alonzo and his fearful words cannot be heard by Glenda “Mamu G” Garcia.

Eli wanders the hospital corridors in search of someone who can hear or see him until he collapses in despair.

A hand appears by his side. Looking up, he realizes it’s Dick “Dadoods” Ysrael. Grasping Dadood’s hand gratefully, Eli is suddenly struck with the implications of his own mortality, which makes him sob in anguish.

JB, I want to say it now. Anne “Celine” Curtis watches in delighted amusement as Sam “JB” Milby walks down the corridor carefully with two cups of scalding hot coffee.

When JB sits down beside her, Celine is reminded once again of the shortness of mortal time because of her conversation with Jackie about Eli.

Quietly, yet urgently, she declares, “JB, I want to say it now. I love you.”

Kahit Ngayon Lang As Jackie watches over Eli, she recounts her conversation with her mother Bing “Monique” Pimentel. Jackie thanks Eli for apologizing profusely to her father, Christopher “Fidel” de Leon, and taking care of all his hospital bills.

Yearning for Eli, she pleads, “Sana naririnig mo ko, sana nakikita mo ko, sana nararamdaman mo ko, sana yakapin at haplusin mo ko. Kahit ngayon lang sabihin mo na mahal mo ko. (I wish you can hear me, see me, feel me, embrace and caress me. Even for just this moment, please say that you love me.)”

Eli, who has been watching her all this time, moves behind her and tries to comfort her with his presence. Yearning for her as well, Eli can only satisfy himself with caressing his soulful face against her hair.
