Miley Cyrus rocks it out with a distinctive country twang in the heart pounding 7 Things I Hate About You video, an unexpected song from the “mostly” squeaky clean Disney star, because one can imagine it coming from Avril Lavigne instead.
In a Billboard interview, Miley Cyrus reveals that, except for two cuts, she wrote all the songs in her second album–Breakout. Miley explains that her sophomore effort is about “getting in depth of what’s been going on in my life in the past year.”
Well, it seems that Miley had to contend with a separation recently and has put the experience into lyrics and music. There have been speculations as to whom the teenager is referring to, but, the only thing Miley will confess to is, “I love [songwriting] and it’s my escape.”
Even at the tender age of 15, Miley has recognized the paradox of love and hate, as she declares in the beginning of her 7 Things I Hate About You composition, “And the seventh thing I hate the most that you do– you made me love you.” And, at the end, she croons, “And the seventh thing I like the most that you do– you made me love you.”
