Britney Spears Promotes Video Music Awards

After being lambasted by critics for her lackluster performance at the VMA or Video Music Awards last year, Britney Spears is being given a second chance. Her full-hearted participation is being cemented via a couple of VMA spots for the 07 September 2008 event.

In the VMA spot with Brit rocker Russell Brand, Britney acts that she doesn’t know the musician’s last name, even supplying the wrong surname — Brown.

At the wild coiffured Russell’s insistence that she remember his name Brand because it’s going to be her last name soon, Brtiney Brand, Britney Spears responds Southern style, “Oh gosh.”
