Porn Films Resume Shooting After HIV Scare
Posted by Saucy Sexy on November 10th, 2010 filed in Sexy News Alert |This piece of news reminds me of a CSI episode where a porn star tested positive for HIV and was forced to stop working. In the same way, two porn film companies ordered a shut down as one of their performers proved to have HIV. RadarOnline.com reports:
The shut down began October 12 [2010] after an actor, referred to as Patient Zeta, tested positive for HIV.
We can now confirm that all performers who were on the quarantine list as a result of being exposed to the HIV positive performer have gone through two rounds of testing and the results are negative,” said Vivid co-chairman Steven Hirsch.
However, it seems that two rounds of testing may NOT indicate whether someone has the HIV virus. AIDS Healthcare Foundation cautions the porn film companies for their hasty decision to resume shooting.
AIDS Healthcare Foundation indicates the porn studios should wait at least another month before putting exposed performers back on the job. “It could be anywhere from 12 weeks to six months that an HIV infection could appear,” explained communications director Ged Kenslea
